OUR PURPOSE

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

The Antioch Council for Truth and Stewardship exists to educate, equip, and mobilize American Christians to uphold historic Christian theology, support the ancient indigenous Christian communities of the Middle East, and practice faithful stewardship in public life.

Our Vision

We envision a generation of American Christians grounded in historic faith, informed about the realities facing Middle Eastern Christian communities, and committed to wise, principled engagement in matters of theology, culture, and public policy.

Why “Antioch”?

Antioch is where believers were first called Christians (Acts 11:26). It stands as a symbol of historic, multiethnic Christianity rooted in the Middle East — the birthplace of our faith. The name ACTS reflects our commitment to biblical roots, memorable identity, and cross-denominational unity.

OUR THREE PILLARS

Truth · Awareness · Stewardship

Three interconnected pillars that guide everything we do

PILLAR 1

Truth

Recovering Historic Christian Theology

We promote careful theological reflection rooted in the historic Christian tradition. Through education on church history, examination of modern theological movements, and forums for thoughtful engagement, we equip believers with deep theological clarity.

Education on church history
Examination of modern theological movements
Forums and resources for thoughtful engagement
Respectful theological discussion
PILLAR 2

Awareness

Elevating Middle Eastern Christian Realities

Many American Christians are unaware of the challenges facing ancient Christian communities in the Middle East. We seek to close that knowledge gap through research, testimonies, documentary storytelling, and educational events.

Research reports & publications
Testimonies from Christian communities
Documentary-style storytelling
Church & campus presentations
PILLAR 3

Stewardship

Encouraging Responsible Christian Citizenship

We encourage thoughtful, principled stewardship in civic life, grounded in Christian ethics and concern for human dignity. This includes conversations about foreign policy, ethical use of public resources, and religious freedom advocacy.

Foreign policy principles
Ethical use of public resources
Religious freedom advocacy
Human dignity for all communities
OUR COMMITMENT

We are not antisemitic and not anti-Muslim. We reject all hatred, hostility, and scapegoating of any people or faith. We stand unequivocally for human dignity, truth, and the preservation of Middle Eastern Christian heritage in all its historic diversity.

WHERE WE FOCUS

Palestine · Syria · Iraq

The ancient Christian peoples of these lands are not political pawns — they are living bearers of Middle Eastern heritage.

PALESTINE — WEST BANK

Christ's Birthplace Communities

In the Palestinian Territories, we focus on the accelerating threat to the world's oldest continuous Christian presence. Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Melkite communities — whose roots reach back to the time of Jesus — endure in Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, Beit Jala, Taybeh, and Ramallah. Israeli settlement expansion, documented settler violence including the bulldozing of Ush al-Ghurab in Beit Sahour, repeated attacks on Taybeh, land seizures, and outpost construction are driving forced emigration and demographic erasure of these ancient towns.

We advocate for the protection of their land, security, and right to remain in their ancestral homeland — so that Christ's birthplace communities may endure.

SYRIA

Under Islamist Governance & Extremist Threat

In Syria, we highlight the primary pressure from Islamist governance and groups — including Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which leads the post-2024 transitional authorities and enforces Islamic jurisprudence — alongside ISIS remnants. These forces have produced killings, church attacks, and radicalization that endanger Greek Orthodox, Syriac, Armenian, and other historic communities whose presence in Syria predates Islam by centuries.

IRAQ — NINEVEH PLAINS

A Decade After the ISIS Genocide

In Iraq, we document the central role of Iranian-backed Shia militias — Popular Mobilization Forces factions — in land grabs, political co-option, and ongoing displacement in the Nineveh Plains, the heartland of Chaldean Catholic, Assyrian, and Syriac churches. A decade after the ISIS genocide that devastated these communities, new threats continue to undermine their survival and right to return.

Our Commitment to Action

Awareness

We will continue to research and publicize the specific realities facing Christian communities in Palestine, Syria, and Iraq — through reports, testimonies, documentary storytelling, and educational events that close the knowledge gap for American Christians.

Stewardship

We advocate for U.S. foreign-policy principles that protect vulnerable minorities, promote religious freedom, and secure the survival of these communities — without ever descending into hatred of Jews or Muslims. We seek cultural formation, historic continuity, and human dignity for all.

We invite American Christians to join us in preserving the living witness of the very places where the faith was born — not through agitation, but through truth, prayer, principled engagement, and tangible support for the people and heritage that must not be lost.
